Easy Prime

Easy Prime is a first coat for Fusion and Viva lacquers.
Being water based, it is a user friendly product that will reduce grain raising and side bonding. Like the rest of this new range it flows like water and is free from roller marks.
Loba Viva
Satin (UK-Matt) £59.10 5ltr
Semi-Gloss (UK-Silk Matt) £59.10 5ltr
Viva is a one pack water based lacquer for general use.
Easy to use, free of lap marks and it is NMP free. No idea what NMP's are but luckily it hasn't got any.
Ideal for domestic and light commercial use.
Loba Fusion
Satin (UK-Matt) £88.55 5ltr
Semi-Gloss (UK-Silk Matt) £88.55 5ltr
This is the successor to the unbelievably tough 'Topguard'. Topguard was possibly the toughest water based lacquer around. It was also possibly the most expensive. This Fusion appears to be an 'NMP' free 'Topguard'. The NMPs must be the expensive bit as it is now very reasonably priced.
It is suitable for very heavy wear applications.
Lacquer or Oil?
Down to personal preference mostly, but a couple of things to bear in mind.
Lacquer is faster and causes less down time in commercial applications. It is hardwearing and has good moisture resistance.
It stays closer to the natural colour of the timber but has a less natural look than oil.
Possibly more contemporary than traditional.
tip...
When using the Loba lacquers, keep to the drying times between coats.
Don't force the drying. The lacquer needs a little time to settle out and achieve the perfect mark free finish this stuff is famous for.
